Maha Eljak

Maha Eljak is a multidisciplinary artist of Sudanese heritage. Inspired by the raw energy of ’70s punk, she uses performance as a tool for resistance and self-expression. In her music and live shows, she confronts systemic issues and shares personal stories that resonate with themes of social change and urgency.

Through her self-published DIY zine Mahazine — a visual and conceptual explosion of collages, interviews, poetry, and photography — she offers a platform for underrepresented voices and challenges dominant narratives.

In addition to her work as an artist and creator, Maha is also a powerful performer and presenter, using her appearances and conversations to create space for dialogue and change. Whether on stage or leading a discussion, Maha brings fearless energy and a deeply rooted drive to disrupt the status quo.

Ine Geldermans

I’m Ine, currently working at Ancienne Belgique, where I m helping to develop the ‘Talent Development’-traject. At Ancienne Belgique we are moulting from a concert venue to an ‘open music house’, and we want to have a lot more focus on community, young artists and a sustainable, local music network. Before starting at AB I organised small concerts in Hasselt with a collective called ‘Sardien’ and toured venues and festivals in Belgium and The Netherlands as a Tourmom for Meltheads.

Fauve Smits

My name is Fauve, I’m part of the marketing and communications team at Rotterdam Festivals. Rotterdam Festivals supports and promotes festivals and cultural events in the city. My absolute favorite thing? Organizing exclusive pop-up events at Rotterdam Central Station, where we give you a sneak peek of what’s coming up. My team and I also run a website, newsletter, magazine, and social media to keep everyone in Rotterdam in the loop about what’s happening in the cultural scene. Besides that, we also share our knowledge and expertise that help creators organize their events. I am passionate about festivals (surprise) music and culture which means that during the summer you can find me at a different festival every weekend. I also work voluntarily for Festileaks, an online festival platform, where I manage the social media as well as write articles about the festivals I go to. Come find me if you want to talk about festivals, what’s important for the marketing of events, writing a communications plan or just to talk about your favorite artists!
