We use different hotels to accommodate bands, but if you’re staying in the City Hub, you’re actually spending the night in a room designed by our own head of program: Stephan. He created a blueprint for these tiny, yet comfortable rooms as a graduation project when he was studying industrial design. Luckily for us he chose music over hub design after his graduation, but still.. pretty cool right?
The Hubs have Dutch power plugs and USB-plugs, but no international power plugs, so you might want to bring an adapter. There is Wi-Fi in the Hub, air ventilation and air conditioning. The beds are made for you. You can change the lighting into millions of colors. Complete with Bluetooth music streaming. Towels, soap, shampoo, hairdryers and, yes, even an iron are all available for you. They even have special City Hub kimono’s. Quite convenient to walk to the showers. Bring your own flip flops, though!
For those of you spending the night in one of our hotels, breakfast is served at Figaro, the sandwich shop with the friendliest staff of Rotterdam. Hand in your voucher and they’ll get you all the coffee you need to start your day!
