Leather.head is a band comprised of siblings Toby, Josh & Aidan alongside close friends Charlie & Cole. They make raw, politically charged, genre bending music with varying instrumentation and a self-taught, DIY ethic that results in an erratic mix of postrock, slowcore, screamo and experimental metal. The band have been writing and performing in some form or another since 2016: beginning with Toby and Josh as a saxophone and guitar duo who – despite an initial lack of skill and musical experience – were motivated by the lack of racial diversity in the scene and started playing DIY shows in Brighton essentially learning their instruments onstage. It wasn’t until 2022 (after their move to London and the finalising of their lineup) that the group began recording and releasing music, after a steady stream of singles, an EP and a live record they are now preparing to release their debut album on 21/11/25.
