Part-Time Model have built a reputation as one of the most compelling new bands to emerge from Leeds in recent years. Formed of Lucy Tessier (Vocals), Rafael Mendes-Browne (Bass), Charlie Wilberforce (Guitar) & Ben Smith (Drums), the four-piece have drawn growing audiences through word of mouth and live alone.
Part-Time Model inhabit a kind of musical unease. Their sound sits at the intersection of grunge, jazz, and modern psychedelia, echoing the off-centre songwriting of Nilüfer Yanya and Honeyglaze while hinting at the expansive sonics of Radiohead and Madison Cunningham.
The bands’ tenacious approach to live and refined musicality saw a sold out debut headline at Hyde Park Book Club, before going on to sell out venues in Hull and Sheffield. As well performing at Humber Street Sesh, P-TM have shared stages with the likes of Welly, Junk and Oliver Pinder.
In 2026 the band were honoured to be selected for the Nell Smith Memorial Fund, awarded to support recording and development.
