The four piece Norman D. Loco are made up of singer/guitarist Lucas “Salad” Armstead, Nic Dalgado vocals/keys, Frankie James Elvis Hewett on bass and Jacob Samuel Rees on drums. The band met whilst studying at the prestigious Guildhall conservatoire, four students of different disciplines. It’s no surprise their sound is so difficult to pigeonhole, rooted in Shoegaze but with elements of idm and slowcore, its music for the terminally online.
To this point the band have released various demos and wips on channels such as Nina Protocol but “I want a beer” represents their first single release. Of the single’s recording Producer/Vocalist Salad said ‘It’s the first song we produced together as a band. I tried to write a Sean Baker movie in my head and this song is on the soundtrack’.
The band have been playing regularly around London at venues such as George Tavern, Shacklewell Arms and Jaguar Shoes. A chance encounter at one of their shows lead them to be asked to host a show on NTS https://www.nts.live/shows/guests/episodes/normin-w-norman-d-loco-6th-november-2025
