Bio provided by artist:
Raised in Birmingham and now based in Peckham, Jackson Roy’s family life, like his music, sat on the cusp between normal and unconventional. He started playing sax as a child, before later adding more instruments to his arsenal including piano and guitar, learning ballet, and joining a symphony choir. By his mid-teens he was playing jazz saxophone and in an indie-rock band. He subsequently studied a music tech university course in which his dissertation project was producing his first serious band’s debut EP. That led to extensive touring, major festivals and an album release before he embraced this new start.
