The Grand Opening bestaat uit een korte, ietwat vreemde openingsceremonie. Geen toespraken, of ander officieel gedoe, gewoon een mooie ode aan het liedje waarnaar het festival is vernoemd. Voor het gemeenschappelijke festivalgevoel, gaan we daarna in twee optochten door naar de eerste bands die spelen. Dus het eenvoudige tijdschema ziet er zo uit:
18.30 uur – openingsceremonie bij het Stadspodium
18.38 uur – kies met welke stoet je meeloopt *
19.00 uur – de eerste echte band op Left of the Dial!

Honk (Waterfront)Silver Gore (Annabel) door de storm gaat de band niet op tijd zijn voor deze show! Ze spelen in plaats daarvan op vrijdag om 16.10 uur in WORM1.

Hou je niet van verrassingen en wil je weten of het de moeite waard is om bij de Grand Opening langs te gaan, lees dan dit bericht. Wij zouden het in elk geval heel gezellig vinden als je erbij bent, maar niks is verplicht natuurlijk!

The Grand Opening is a short and slightly bizarre ceremony to start Left of the Dial. No speeches, or other official stuff, just a sweet ode to the song the festival is named after. To enhance the communal festival feeling, we'll then proceed in three parades to the first bands playing. That means, the rather simple schedule looks like this:
18.30 uur – opening ceremony at Stadspodium
18.38 uur – pick your parade *
19.00 uur – the first official show you’ll see at Left of the Dial!

Silver Gore (Annabel) Due to the storm, the band won't be able to make this show, instead they will play WORM 1 on Friday at 16.10h!
