Moreish Idols is een vijfkoppige band opgericht in Cornwall, die onlangs naar Londen is verhuisd en een contract heeft getekend bij Speedy Wunderground. Recentelijk brachten ze hun explosieve debuut-EP, genaamd “Float”, uit. Hun raadselachtige mix van moderne post-punk, jazz, indie, triphop en invloeden van The Stone Roses en Ought is (zoals je kunt merken) moeilijk te definiëren. Zoals I Though I Heard A Sound het omschreef: Ze hebben een vreemde, bijna competitieve elasticiteit in hun optredens, waarbij de vocalen en drums blenden als twee honden die vechten om een stuk vlees. Moreish Idols are a five-piece band founded in Cornwall who recently relocated to London, signing to Speedy Wunderground and releasing explosive debut EP, Float. Their enigmatic mix of modern post-punk, mixed together with some jazz, The Stone Roses, Ought and indie, is (as you can see) hard to define. Or as I Thought I Heard A Sound puts it: 'They have this kind of strange, almost competitive elasticity to their performances, where the mix gets all chewed up between the vocals and the drums, almost like two dogs fighting over a strip of rawhide.'
