MF Tomlinson is an Australia-born London-based artistthat ‘uses music as a means to excavate the soul’ (Clash). His richly immersive worlds of work have earned widespread acclaim, the most recent album ‘Die to Wake Up From A Dream’ was named in the the top 75 albums of ’26. He and his collaborators, the MFs have supported Geese, Dry Cleaning, and played at festivals such as End of the Road and Latitude. Tomlinson is a career musician who’s had many incarnations; he’s insistent this is his final one – for a frame of reference, think Bill Callahan meets King Crimson meets Yo Le Tengo – alt country, folk, orchestral pop, experimental jazz, slowcore and ambient textures but that list keeps growing. His most recent EP ‘Heaven is Other People’ (out September 9th) marks a departure from the ornate arrangements of his previous three albums, moving towards a more raw, direct, and impressionistic sounds.
