Hailed by EARMILK as ‘one of the most powerful and unique artists we’ve heard this year,’ today Lila opens a new chapter. Known for her atmospheric, bucolic folk releases, she returns after two years in a remote countryside studio with her band, unveiling an elegiac folk-rock record.
With early support from the likes of The Guardian’s Pete Paphides, producer Dan Carey (Wet Leg), and repeated plays from BBC Radio 6 Music’s Gideon Coe, her 2024 single releases have seen her social media following more than double and listenership grow tenfold. Featured in over 50 publications —including DIY Magazine and The Line of Best Fit— she is poised for her most successful year to date.
Previously, Lila’s work has received international support from industry professionals in the UK, US, Europe and Japan. She has partnered with independent record labels to release her music to CD, vinyl and cassette and her work has been used for sync by Sony Music. She has performed at notable residencies including a sold-out show at London’s St Pancras Old Church, Green Man Festival and Bush Hall, as well as a solo headline tour of southern Germany in December 2024. She has collaborated with international songwriters such as Jackson Wooten, classical composer Edward Cross and filmmakers such as Simon Lex and Tim Laing.
Lila Tristram is a versatile performer, offering either a stripped-back, intimate solo set where her songs take on a delicate, brooding intensity, or a dynamic set with her five-piece band, delivering heavier, rock-infused interpretations that amplify the raw energy of her evolving sound.
