Date Camp was a solo project that out of necessity became a band. A new meeting, a first date that found its form in the inevitable partnership known as a band.
The music is tempo driven over time, it’s rumbling forward, but consistently skipping a beat. ‘Krautrock in odd meters’, it’s been called. Uncontrollably deliberate, simultaneously gentle and hard, always transparent. The lyrics meticulously encourage change and in coherence with the music, it meditates on the concrete; a vague house, a hill in Florence, a mirage.
