Hailing from the Isle of Man, Jack Wolter is an English musician and producer based in Brighton, UK who makes music and visuals under the monikerĀ Cubzoa. Jack is also one half of the band Penelope Isles.
A Cubzoa live show channels both the choral and the industrial, softly treading between Neil Young and Bicep. Described as a blend of folk electronica and post-bedroom dream pop, Cubzoa’s latest body of work immerses the audience in a captivating sensory landscape using a fusion of textured indie guitar, electronic elements, and live visuals. Jack’s music and visuals abstractly evoke both the intimate and the delicate, via intensely personal and occasionally melancholic themes. Self produced at Bella Union Studios and mixed by Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck), Cubzoa’s debut LP, recorded at various points over the last couple of years is set to be released on Bella Union Recordings early next year.
