Ben Romans-Hopcraft

As a musician Ben cut his teeth in South London, where we grew up. Spending his early years fronting his first project Childhood, where he enjoyed 8 years of international touring and critical acclaim with albums ‘Lacuna’ and ‘Universal High’. It was in this period where he began branching out into other sub genres from the Brixton alternative music scene, joining bands Warmduscher and Insecure Men. He has enjoyed notoriety for these projects not only as a live member but also as a producer and songwriter. As a producer and songwriter, Ben continues to strive for diversity, working with the likes of PVA, The Fat White Family, Obongjayer, Sean Lennon, Cou Cou Chloe and Lianne la Havas to name a few. Looking forward he has plans to release music with Miss Tiny, his project with longtime friend and collaborator Dan Carey.

Stephanie van Tol

My name is Stephanie. I’m a music journalist and currently working for Vera On Track, a Dutch radio programme airing at 3FM, specializing in alternative, indie and pop music. I am the programme’s editor, which basically means I’m responsible for all things content-related: from preparing (and sometimes doing!) interviews to creating items for the radio show and social media channels. Before this, I wrote for 3voor12, and wrote a master’s thesis (at the EUR ;)) on music’s role in shaping the identities of biracial youth.
