Half of the Left of the Dial 2026 tickets already sold

THINGS NEVER GO AS PLANNED 

And sometimes that’s a positive thing (at least for us)

As you probably know, we’re pretty good at making solid plans, only to have to change them again later on. For reasons ranging from Storm Benjamin to our own stupidity.

And sometimes it’s because of your unmatched enthusiasm.

Like every year, we made a budget that includes different ticket tiers with different prices. We calculated that, to make things work for Left of the Dial 2026, we’d have to increase ticket prices once half the tickets were sold. We expected that moment to come sometime early next year, probably around the first lineup announcement.

But you are buying tickets like Left of the Dial is the last festival in the world and almost half of the tickets are already gone!

You probably understand that this makes us beyond happy and since we’re still a bit emotionally unstable after the festival, we’re almost in tears. But just in time before we all started ugly crying, we realised we had to warn you: it looks like ticket prices will go up by the end of the week. Or maybe a few days later… or sooner. It all depends on how many of you have already made plans for October 2026.

Almost half the tickets being gone also means there are still plenty left, so there’s no need to panic, but if you want to save some money, don’t wait too long.

Left of the Dial 2025 in photos

We’ve been busy uploading some of the Left of the Dial photos on our Flickr account for easy viewing, but we’re still a bit fuzzy and to be honest, it’s a bit of a mess. Still it might give you that warm throwback-to-the-best-weekend-ever-feeling that you need right now!

Follow the Bus! Hop on the Left of the Dial bus to get from venue to venue

The Left of the Dial shuttle services runs every day between 19.00h and 23.30h. We really tried, but due to the unpredictable traffic in the city, it proved impossible to create a clear schedule. So we fitted the bus with a GPS tracker to check where the bus is at any given time. Go to the nearest official bus stop, wave the bus down, show your Left of the Dial wristband and you’re ready to ride. It will probably be a lot less efficiently than we initially hoped, but this was the best solution we could think of!

Schedule changes, Extras timetable & more

Al maanden geleden hadden we een fantastische band uitgenodigd voor Left of the Dial, maar door andere tourverplichtingen konden ze helaas toch niet komen. Vorige week bleek die tour op het laatste moment niet door te gaan en op exact dezelfde dag hoorden we van een van de Left of the Dial-artiesten dat ze toch niet naar Rotterdam kan komen. Dat leek ons een duidelijk teken, dus ook al is het festival nog maar een maand weg, we voegen gewoon toch nog één nieuwe band toe aan de line-up! Hieronder hebben we het allemaal zo overzichtelijk mogelijk proberen uit te leggen, maar laten we voor de gezelligheid eerst beginnen met een handig nieuwtje…. 

HET EXTRA EXTRA’S BLOKKENSCHEMA 
Zoals jullie wellicht weten, hebben we altijd allerlei Extra Extra’s tijdens Left of the Dial en dit jaar kwamen we ineens op een heel voor-de-hand-liggend idee: een blokkenschema, speciaal voor de Extra Extra’s. Dat we dat niet eerder hebben bedacht hè? Nu kun je in één oogopslag zien wat er voor, na of tussen de optredens door allemaal te doen is! 

AANPASSINGEN BLOKKENSCHEMA 
Het spijt ons jullie dit aan te moeten doen, maar er zijn dus wat veranderingen in het blokkenschema. We hebben onze website en de TMSQR-app al aangepast, maar om het kort samen te vatten:

  • Helaas heeft Common Holly haar shows voor Left of the Dial af moeten zeggen;
  • Tina Sandwich zal nu drie shows spelen in plaats van een;
  • We hebben Ain’t toegevoegd aan de line-up!  

Dat betekent wat aanpassingen in de blokken op vrijdag: 

  • DUG zal om 19.50 uur in de Paradijskerk spelen
  • Tina Sandwich zal om 17.00 uur in De Doelen Studio spelen
  • Ain’t zal om 20.20 uur in Annabel Up spelen

En op zaterdag: 

  • Tina Sandwich zal om 16.20 uur in Salsability spelen
  • Ain’t zal om 16.00 uur in Roodkapje Expo spelen 

Laten we collectief duimen dat dit meteen de laatste veranderingen in het blokkenschema zijn!

Months ago, we invited an amazing band to Left of the Dial, but they couldn’t make it work due to prior touring commitments. Last week, that tour was cancelled, coincidentally on exactly the same day we heard that one of the Left of the Dial artists couldn’t come to Rotterdam after all. So, we did the only logical thing (in our minds) we could do: we just one month to go, we added one more band to the lineup! Below we’ve tried to explain it all as clearly as possible, but let’s start with some revolutionary news:

THE EXTRA EXTRAS SCHEDULE 
As you might know, we always have a lot of Extra Extras going on at Left of the Dial and this year, we finally came up with something so obvious that we’re still kicking ourselves for not doing this sooner: a timetable with all the Extra Extras. Now, you can easily check to see what’s there to do before, after, or in between shows!

TIMETABLE CHANGES 
We hate to do this to you, but there have been some changes in the timetable. We’ve updated the schedule on our website and in the TMSQR app, but to give you a quick recap of all changes:

  • Unfortunately, the wonderful Common Holly had to cancel her shows at Left of the Dial
  • The equally wonderful Tina Sandwich is now playing not one, but 3 shows
  • We’ve added the amazing Ain’t to the lineup!

This means we had to move some slots around on Friday: 

  • DUG will playing Paradijskerk at 19.50h
  • Tina Sandwich will be playing De Doelen Studio at 17.00h
  • Ain’t will be playing Annabel Up at 20.20h

And on Saturday: 

  • Tina Sandwich will be playing Salsability at 16.20h
  • Ain’t will be playing Roodkapje Expo at 16.00h

Now let’s all pray to the timetable gods that these are the final changes!

Brace yourself: 31 artists added to the lineup!

Zet je schrap, we hebben vandaag 31 geweldige namen aan de line-up toegevoegd! En ja, we hebben vorige keer gezegd dat dit waarschijnlijk de laatste line-up-aankondiging zou zijn, maar dit keer bleek de zomer niet de handigste tijd te zijn om alle voor een aankondiging benodigde artiesteninformatie te verzamelen, dus er komt nog meer aan! 

WACHTLIJST 
Left of the Dial is uitverkocht, maar mocht je nog op zoek zijn naar tickets, meld je dan aan voor de wachtlijst. Deze lijst gaat op woensdag (27 augustus) om 10.00 uur dicht. Iedereen die op de wachtlijst staat, krijgt later die dag een mail met daarin een code om op 28 augustus tickets te kopen. Er gaan absoluut zeker weer kaarten in de verkoop, maar hoeveel kaarten dat precies zullen zijn, kunnen we op dit moment nog niet zeggen en je kunt hier lezen waarom dat zo is!

Left of the Dial is sold out, but if you’re still looking for tickets, please be sure to subscribe to our waiting list. The list will close on Wednesday (August 27) at 10.00h. Everyone on the waiting list will receive an email later that day with a code to buy tickets on August 28. Left of the Dial 2025 is sold out!

De aankomende editie van het festival is helemaal uitverkocht! Dank jullie wel dat jullie er met ons zullen zijn! The one thing we’ve learned from organising shows and festivals, is that the very minute you sell the final ticket, someone will call you in total disbelieve that they can’t buy a ticket anymore. Despite all warnings and numerous low-ticket alerts, they are completely taken by surprise that events actually sell out and that there’s no secret stash of tickets especially for people like them.

So, to be clear, when Left of the Dial is sold out, that’s it. Hate to say I told you so, no more tickets.

You might wonder: then why on earth sign up for a waiting list?

We fully understand that it doesn’t make much sense to have a waiting list for a very much and definitely sold-out festival, so please allow us to explain.

All bands get a couple of guest list spots for friends or family. Sometimes they want to bring more people who are important to them, so we always reserve a number of tickets they can buy. If a band doesn’t need these, the tickets go back on sale.

We do this every year, you just wouldn’t normally notice. But this is the first time it looks like Left of the Dial will sell out before the lineup is complete, so we can’t yet say how many artists will use their reserved tickets.

It’s possible we’ve set aside too many. And if that’s the case, we’ll let everyone on the waiting list know.

We’re not clairvoyant though, so we can’t promise anything.

a festival experiment with Les Savy Fav

UPDATE (13 JUNI)
Vanwege de grote belangstelling hebben we het optreden van Les Savy Fav verplaatst naar een grotere zaal. Wil je bij de show aanwezig zijn? Stuur ons dan een e-mail met je Left of the Dial-ticketnummer, dan sturen wij je instructies om een Les Savy Fav-ticket te kopen!

KORTE VERSIE
* Les Savy Fav zal op zaterdag 25 oktober laat op de avond een show doen op Left of the Dial 2025. Hiervoor heb je een extra ticket nodig van €8.

LANGE VERSIE
LEFT OF THE DIAL – HET CONCEPT IN 2018
Toen we met Left of the Dial begonnen, dachten we dat het een goed idee zou zijn om niet alleen de beste nieuwe artiesten een podium te bieden, maar om ook om een paar wat meer gevestigde namen uit te nodigen – bands waar wij zelf al jarenlang fan van zijn. Om zo de jongere festivalbezoekers de kans te geven bands te zien die voor veel Left of the Dial-artiesten een inspiratiebron zijn geweest en tegelijkertijd zou het voor Left of the Dial-artiesten mooi zijn om op dezelfde line-up te staan als hun helden. We hebben het elk jaar echt geprobeerd, maar op de een of andere manier is het ons nooit gelukt om dat concept in de praktijk te brengen. Tot nu.

LES SAVY FAV
Een paar dagen geleden kregen we te horen dat Les Savy Fav op zoek is naar een show in Rotterdam op 25 oktober, wat dus de Left of the Dial-zaterdag is.

We zijn al jaren grote fans van Les Savy Fav en het optreden dat ze in 2007 in onze eigen zaal Rotown gaven, is een van de meest memorabele shows die we ooit hebben gehad. Hun liveoptredens zijn sowieso behoorlijk spectaculair en naar onze bescheiden mening zijn veel huidige artiesten redelijk schatplichtig aan deze New Yorkse artrockband. Kortom, we zouden ze er heel graag bij hebben op Left of the Dial!

LASTIGE KWESTIES 
Maar dat brengt ons bij een paar lastige kwesties. Ten eerste hebben we een duidelijk ‘geen headliners-beleid’. Alle artiesten zijn altijd even belangrijk voor ons geweest, en dat zal ook altijd zo blijven.

Ten tweede hebben we geen idee wat er gaat gebeuren als we deze oudgedienden gewoon in het blokkenschema zetten. Misschien zijn jullie tijdens het festival veel liever bezig met het ontdekken van nieuwe bands en zouden jullie de show van Les Savy Fav overslaan Of erger, misschien wil juist iedereen erbij zijn en staan er straks lange rijen en komen er boze gezichten omdat de zaal te snel vol is. Dat willen we natuurlijk allemaal niet. 

EXTRA TICKET
Dus dit is hoe we het hebben bedacht:

  • Les Savy Fav speelt zaterdagavond een late night show in een van de Left of the Dial-zalen;
  • Alléén Left of the Dial-tickethouders kunnen deze show bijwonen met een extra ticket dat €8 kost.

Heb je helemaal geen zin in Les Savy Fav, dan sla je ‘m gewoon over en we beloven je plechtig dat je net zo’n mooi festival als altijd zult hebben. 

HO WACHT, IK WIL LES SAVY FAV WEL ZIEN!
Wil je niks liever dan Les Savy Fav zien tijdens Left of the Dial, dan is dit belangrijk om te weten: 

  • Alleen mensen die in het bezit zijn van een Left of the Dial-ticket ontvangen maandag 2 juni een e-mail met instructies om een ticket te bestellen; 
  • In oktober moet je een geldig Left of the Dial-polsbandje hebben én een extra ticket om bij het concert binnen te komen. 

Het blijft een natuurlijk een experiment, dus sorry voor al het gedoe, maar we vonden het ’t proberen waard. Bedankt voor jullie geduld!

Due to popular demand we’ve moved the Les Savy Fav show to a bigger venue, so if you want to attend the show, please email us your Left of the Dial ticket number, and we’ll send you instructions on how to purchase your Les Savy Fav ticket!

LEFT OF THE DIAL – THE 2018 CONCEPT
When we first started Left of the Dial, we thought it would be cool not only to showcase the best new artists, but also to invite some more established bands – bands we’ve loved for a long time. We figured it would give the younger ticketholders a chance to see where some of the Left of the Dial bands got their inspiration, and for the bands it would be cool to share a lineup with their role models. Although we really tried every year, for a number of reasons, we never managed to bring that concept into practice.

Until now.

LES SAVY FAV
A few days ago, we were informed that Les Savy Fav are looking for a show in Rotterdam on October the 25th, which is of course, the Left of the Dial Saturday.

We’ve been huge fans of Les Savy Fav for years, and the gig they played at our own venue Rotown back in 2007 is one of the most memorable shows we ever hosted. Their live performances are pretty spectacular and we feel that loads of current artists are in some way indebted to this New York-based art rock band.

Cleary, we’d love to welcome them at Left of the Dial.

BUT THAT BRINGS US TO A WHOLE NEW SET OF COMPLICATIONS…
Firstly, we feel very strongly about our no-headliners policy. All artists have always been equally important to us, and we wouldn’t change that for anyone.

Secondly, we’ve no idea what would happen if we mix these veterans in with the rest of the lineup. Maybe you all prefer discovering new bands and wouldn’t go to their show. Or even worse, maybe everyone wants to go, and we end up with long queues and angry people when the venue reaches capacity. We obviously wouldn’t want that.

ADDITIONAL TICKET
Here’s what we came up with:

  • Les Savy Fav will play a late night show on Saturday night at one of the Left of the Dial venues
  • Left of the Dial ticketholders can attend the show with an additional ticket that will cost €8

If you don’t want to attend the show, we promise you’ll still have just as amazing a Left of the Dial experience as usual.

BUT WAIT, I WANT TO SEE LES SAVY FAV!
If seeing Les Savy Fav at Left of the Dial sounds like the best thing ever, here’s what you should know:

  • Only Left of the Dial ticketholders will receive an email on Monday June 2 with instructions on how to order their ticket;
  • In October you’ll need to show your valid Left of the Dial wristband AND the additional ticket to get access to the concert.

It's just an experiment, so we do apologize if we’re only making things more complicated for you, but we felt it was worth a try. And whatever the outcome, we thank you for bearing with us!
