DoFlame is 21-year-old Mateo Naranjo from Brampton, Canada.
Born out of garage and basement shows in the Toronto suburb’s burgeoning scene, the project’s earliest releases brought a wild new energy to the city, driven by the simple goal of establishing the mantra: “think big, go hard, destroy.”
After initial support from Zane Lowe and Beats1, singles “Bat House” and “All Out” caught the unlikely attention of the BBC 6 Music panel which supported the project extensively and led to the UK and Europe as the site of the band’s first international shows in 2022.
That same year debut release DoStroy dropped in partnership with Toronto imprint 444%, putting DoFlame squarely in the mix with a young generation of artists creating fresh and borderless sounds in punk, hardcore and alternative rap.
Now taking the next steps with his first proper international release, DoFlame’s new LP Bent steps into the arena in 2024 as an exhilarating and unrelenting blend of genres, propelled by an undeniable energy both live and on his records.
